Who are we?

We are a mother & daughter team that has over 10 years of experience quilting.

Behind our name
We chose the name Thistle Quilting because of our Scottish heritage. Carolyn’s grandmother (Jill’s great-grandmother) immigrated to the United States from Scotland when she was 16 years old. We’ve been interested in things Scottish for as long as we can remember. We like thistles, the purple, prickly flower that grows wild in the Scottish Highlands and we enjoy the story about how it became the Emblem of Scotland.
