One important step, which is missing from the threading diagram –
ALWAYS lift the presser foot when threading the machine.
Reason – this opens the tension control and allows the thread to properly enter.
When the foot is down, the tension control closes to the setting for sewing and controls the flow of the thread for a proper stitch.
Foot down when threading – thread cannot enter the tension control and cannot be controlled – the result is a loopy stitch that will pull out.
