Required qult top preparation: Please follow these simple steps before bringing your quilt for finishing at Thistle Quilting :

1. Press your quilt top and backing
2. Do not baste or pin together
3. If you're supplying the backing for your qult, please make sure it is 4" larger on all sides.
4. If you're supplying the batting for your quilt, please make sure it is 4" larger on all sides.
5. Make sure your quilt top and backing are as square as possible.
6. Press any backing seams open.
7. Trim excess threads.
8. Remove any selvages to prevent puckering.
9. If there is a definitive top, mark the top with a safety pin.
